In Memoriam: Vicky Holmes 1917-2011
We are saddened to learn of the passing of Vicky Holmes this summer, a great lady and devoted friend of cats. Ms. Holmes was born in Kansas in 1917. Her mother had passed away when she was only a year old, and as a result, she was separated from her sister Ann Zagar and the rest of her family until she was twelve. When she and her sister were reunited, they developed a loving bond that endured until her death. Vicky extended this love to cats, and always kept a cat in her home and in her heart. In the years leading up to her passing, she shared her home with her cat, Shadow. We are saddened by the passing of this devoted cat lover, and our heart goes out to her family.
